Market Cap
Market capitalization — 'market cap' — is what the entire company is worth on the stock market: share price times number of shares. It's how investors size companies up, from trillion-dollar giants to tiny small-caps. Bigger usually means steadier; smaller usually means wilder — in both directions.
Example: A company with 1 billion shares at $150 each has a $150 billion market cap — a large-cap stock.
